Children’s Promotional Hoodies

Thanks to fact that hoodies have been taken up as the uniform of the dispossessed, unemployed and basically the bad elements of society they are often to considered as good promotional merchandise. However that is not the case with kids because the sales for them in this area has increased a great deal in the past few years.

Children’s promotional hoodies are now available in a massive range of colours and styles. Some companies have even specialised in Hoodies alone and sell nothing else, so there is a fight back for these great promotional textiles. They are generally made form 100% cotton however it is possible to find poly/cotton mixes but they are few and far between.

One of the big benefits of hoodies from a portent’s perspective is that they are very easy for young kids to wear. The reason being that they don’t have fiddly zip or difficult buttons that need doing up. A parent can basically throw one at a child and be safe in the knowledge that other than putting them on back to front the child can sort it out himself.

Promotional hoodies are fairly straightforward so there are not as many fashion possibilities as there are for other items such promotional jackets or embroidered polo shirts for example. The basic design is the same in all cases but the biggest differential has to be the pouch pocket at the front. There was a time when every promotional cotton hoodie had one of these but a few manufacturers removed them and they took off as a style.

The other parts that can differentiate are the hoods. These can vary between being very wide and loose or very tight. The drawcord don not vary much between the flat shoelace style and  the round cord version. Some companies produce these drawstrings in contrasting colours which bring a nice touch to them. Other than that there are some contrast coloured promotional hoodies which are becoming more popular these days. Sometime it is the hoods that are a different colour and sometimes the front and back panels.

Branding is usually done either by embroidery which looks much classier or by silk screen printing which is less expensive.
