Promotional T-Shirts: Quality Over Quantity
Many people choose printed t-shirts as their desired choice for promotional clothing because they are so cheap to source, if you are look at the lower end of the t shirt scale you could get a bulk of t-shirts for a lot less that you would pay for one radio advert. But when you have such a large number of cheaply made t-shirts, does this really give the right image you are after.
When it comes to your promotional clothing and promotional merchandise marketing campaigns, it is important to choose products that not only advertise you as a company but reflect you in more ways than one. This statement doesn’t mean you need to spend absolute thousands’ on promotional clothing, I believe it is important to get the right balance between price and quality of goods, even if it means getting a few less than you would have buying the cheaper ones. After all its better to have 500 people thinking wow, these are some fantastic made t-shirts, than having 1000 people thinking that your company can’t afford good quality t-shirts and are trying to unload this rubbish on you which will inevitably end up as rags or in the bin.
Ok so if my first piece of advice is to go for a little bit more expensive t-shirts, my second piece of advice would be advertise smartly. Nobody would want your t-shirt if all it has on it is your logo splashed across it so blatantly that they don’t even try to deny the only reason for this piece of promotional clothing is for the person to be a walking billboard. That is not smart advertising. Smart advertising would be to come up with a great fun, and fashionable advertising campaign. One great example you can see on eco-friendly carrier bags, that may not be green, but say “I am a green bag” which is ironically funny, gets the message across and also engages people. This method not only engages the customer but makes it easy to wear and easy to read and makes it for a good talking point.
The final point to make when it comes to printed t-shirts is that select the right design, style and image for the right demographic, it is important that for example if your company’s product and services are aimed at older people, not to choose a promotional t-shirt that is not too their fashion tastes. So keep the quality, be clever, and you will get it right for the right people.
